Kyomi's washi developed from her desire to incorporate anything the good earth provides. Woods and delicate wild flowers are picked from the mounta ins in Noto. These gifts from nature are immediately mixed into the washi p aper stock and scooped. The working materials from nature will differ wi th each season, and they can not be stored away. Washi will be made accordin g to your order, dried and delivered to you.
Orders for large sheet are taken from single orders. For medium size and small size papers, orders will be taken from 10 sheets. The washi that are not specified as Kozo, utilizes Gampi as raw material. Each washi pap er is handmade, and there may be slight differences in the texture and shade.
May we invite you to decorate your walls by framing the washi, place the washi under attractive centerpeices, enjoy table setting with washi place mats, utilize them as wallpapers -- Enjoy the seasonal gifts from nature.

Japanese cedar barks are stripped and crushed into small pieces and m ixed into the Kozo washi raw materials to make the Japanese Cedar Washi. The paper varies in color according to the amount of cedar bark added into t he washi stock. There are total 5 variations in color, ranging from the dark er shade C1 to the lighter shade C5 (see photo).
